iWant Studios was launched in November 2005, designed as a central access point for all of the two primary developer’s projects to reside, providing users with an easy way to find everything. iWant Studios has changed since its inception, originally designed for “Level Designing” the focus has shifted into two other key areas, code and web development. These new areas are essential for new ideas to be created in full. Version 4 was preceded by Version 2, Version 3 was never publically released and was never demonstrated, built off the version 2 codebase, it offered minor interface and feature enhancements and was about 75% completed when development was halted. It was decided that a new codebase and interface would be required. As such, i4 was created. Keeping the white and blue theme iWant has used since its birth, the site features a blue much richer than any previous release, with white as the background colour, keeping the page light and contemporary. Numerous functional enhancements were integrated from the start of development including functioning, auto updating news. The new “outdates” which is access to older news and various other features.
